Service at Every Step
From
the time the aircraft lands on the runway to the time it departs,
the service never stops. You’ll be greeted by the staff,
your luggage brought to your room while you enjoy coffee and
homemade, fresh baked rolls. Then, it’s down to the
dock where your guide has your boat all ready for you. Your rods, reels and tackle are reviewed with any
requirements filled out by the lodge. Of course, we supply
all of the above at no charge. Time to head out on the water.
Equipment (“The Best I’ve Ever Seen”)
Fishing
in luxury out of 16 foot Lund “Pike” boats, powered
by 40 hp, smoke-free, ultra-quiet Honda outboard motors. Pedestal
swivel seats, carpeted floors, aerated livewells, electronic
fish locators, rod holders and casting platforms set the stage
for your angling action.
Board Room Shore Lunch (Our Business Class Fish &
Chips)
Your guide acts as your chef mid-day, when your appetite has
peaked. Shore lunch sites have been set up on islands that
resemble a park setting. Relax under the canopy around the
fireplace, while your guide fillets your stringer of walleye
and then prepares them two different ways every day over an
open camp fire. Your taste buds won't believe it. You’ll
be telling yourself it doesn’t get any better than this,
and it doesn’t.
Guardian
eagle provides the perfect setting for your corporate group.
The atmosphere is conductive to both productivity and just
plain having fun. Special rates apply and itineraries can
be customized to fit group needs.
Off the Water
After
your boat docks at days end, take a swim, sauna or enjoy cocktails
at the lodge where you can reminisce and trade true “fish
stories.” Most guests spend time looking at the BIG
FISH BOARD and wait to add their name to this illustrious
list of anglers who have caught a 24” plus walleye or
36” plus northern or our latest 'wall-pike'
board, which features the length of the northern added to
the length of the walleye "in its mouth".
Net both fish at the same time and you go on this very exciting
and illustrious board. By the end of the season, between 200
to 300 names appear on the boards each season. Record holders
during 2002: a 30” walleye and a 47” northern
pike and a 57" wall-pike combo.
Replica
mounts are done each year for the biggest fish in each category.
Guests may return and claim the mounts after theyhave hung
in the lodge for two years.
Then, it’s time for a dinner comprised of several,
plentiful courses and unique culinary compositions. Typical
entrees include Jack Daniel's Whiskey'd baby-back ribs ---
inch thich char-broiled New York strip with garlic shrimp
and slow roasted Cornish Game Hen a'l'orange.
